19 year old Emma was diagnosed with T1D at age 13.
Emma is a full-time student working towards her BA in nursing while attending Pensacola St. College.  She wants to become a flight nurse, transporting patients via helicopter.
Emma has a special interest in the fitness world.  She says that even though her pancreas doesn't work, the rest of her body does. "If there's a will, there's a way.  Life and diabetes have highs and  lows but you learn to manage it.
